PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

Due to the active components it contains, the product APIVIROL FORTE – oral solution, has a strong antiviral, antibacterial, and biostimulant effect on adult bees, brood, and queens, enhancing their resistance to Varroa. APIVIROL FORTE is particularly effective in revitalizing the entire bee population in the hive, boosting egg-laying in queens, and increasing the vitality and lifespan of foraging bees.

INDICATIONS

APIVIROL FORTE is an exceptionally effective adjuvant for the prophylaxis and treatment of acute and chronic viral paralysis, American and European foulbrood, and Varroa.

The use of APIVIROL FORTE as a biostimulant should be applied immediately in apiaries where there is a noticeable decline in the overall condition of bee colonies or when certain signs of disease are suspected during the active nectar flow season or during periods of weak nectar flow. The product should be administered to all bee colonies in the apiary, including those that appear healthy.

In apiaries where systematic biostimulant treatment with APIVIROL FORTE is performed, even in years with less favorable conditions for beekeeping, honey yields are approximately 35-40% higher compared to untreated apiaries.

APIVIROL FORTE should be administered without delay whenever the general health of the apiary is not optimal, when malformations of wings are observed in young bees, when nervous signs are present in foraging bees, wing paralysis occurs, and there is a phenomenon of colony depopulation without visible symptoms of any disease, as well as whenever food sources are reduced.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

APIVIROL FORTE has no contraindications or negative side effects on bees, queens, and brood and does not produce residues in honey, pollen, bee bread, and propolis, allowing the production of high-quality beekeeping products.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

APIVIROL FORTE is administered by spraying (misting) on the surface of frames with bees and brood using manual pumps.

Spraying is the safest and most effective method of administering this biostimulant since the product is immediately consumed by the bees, triggering a strong self-cleaning reflex. The amount used for a single application is 150-250 ml per bee colony. It is recommended to apply APIVIROL FORTE 2-3 times, with an interval of 3 days.

Since viral and bacterial diseases often develop without typical disease symptoms, the product should also be applied during nectar flow periods whenever the productivity and overall health of the apiary are unsatisfactory, and especially when the nectar flow is inadequate, which puts significant stress on the bees, making them more susceptible to diseases.

After the nectar flow season ends, to prepare colonies for wintering, the autumn biostimulant treatment should be administered by spraying 150-250 ml of APIVIROL FORTE on the bees and brood during warm days.

In colonies that receive autumn biostimulant treatment, reduced mortality during winter and early egg-laying stimulation in queens are observed. After the first cleansing flight, an average of 3-4 frames with dense brood covering the entire surface of the frames is found during apiary inspection.

For the winter period, sugar cakes or syrup should be prepared with an addition of about 150-250 ml of APIVIROL FORTE per bee colony.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

Spraying should be done on as many frames with a large population of bees and brood as possible.
