Bio ActiW VET 400 is a ready-to-use disinfectant with biocidal action, recommended for frequent use for preventive and curative purposes in apiaries.

Bio ActiW VET 400 is formulated to replicate the defense mechanism of mammals and birds for combating infections. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is the ultimate weapon against bacteria and viruses and is the most effective biocide to which they do not develop resistance. Hypochlorous acid, unlike other chlorine products, is 100% safe, non-irritating, and non-toxic. Even if ingested accidentally, it is completely harmless.

Bio ActiW VET 400 is intended for:

• Disinfection of all component parts of the hive
• Disinfection of spaces/storage areas for reserve frames
• Disinfection of apicultural equipment by spraying
• Disinfection of wagons and trailers for hive transport

USAGE:

After mechanical cleaning of wax, propolis, and flaming, the hives will be disinfected by rigorous spraying with Bio ActiW VET 400 both inside and outside. NO rinsing is required after application.

It is recommended to spray with Bio ActiW VET 400 whenever working within a family. Everything introduced into the hive (frames, feeders, partitions) should be pre-treated with Bio ActiW VET 400.

At the beginning of each beekeeping year, each hive box is sanitized by mechanical cleaning, flaming with a burner, and then disinfected by spraying with Bio ActiW VET 400.

Specific consumption:

• Curative disinfection: 40-60 ml/m²
• Preventive disinfection: 20-30 ml/m²

IMPORTANT! After working with a sick family, all the working equipment used is disinfected by spraying with Bio ActiW VET 400.

When a sick family appears, Bio ActiW VET 400 is sprayed both in the troubled hive and on nearby hives.

The product's lack of toxicity allows it to be used throughout the beekeeping season to prevent hive contamination with various pathogens.

After each use of apicultural equipment, it will be disinfected by spraying with Bio ActiW VET 400 solution to avoid contamination from one hive to another.

Wagons and trailers for hive transport will be disinfected after each use by spraying.

FIELD INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM BEEKEEPERS WHO HAVE USED THE PRODUCT:

From the practical experience of Romanian beekeepers who have used the product, beneficial effects have been observed by:

1. administering Bio ActiW VET 400 in a 2/1 stimulation syrup (the syrup is made from 2 kg of sugar and 1 L of water). In the resulting syrup solution (approximately 2.2 L of syrup) cooled well, add 1 L of Bio ActiW VET 400. This way, a stimulation syrup with a concentration of approximately 1/1 is obtained, from which a quantity of 250 ml/hive will be administered.
2. administering Bio ActiW VET 400 in the water source for bees, a quantity of 500 ml per 50 L of water.
3. pulverizing Bio ActiW VET 400 in the hive.

Using Bio ActiW VET 400 according to the methods presented above, a decrease in the incidence of foulbrood disease has been observed.

To maintain hive health, even if the incidence of certain diseases may decrease at certain times, it is important for preventive treatments to be constantly applied as diseases remain latent.

COMPOSITION:

Active substances per 100 g:

• 0.04-0.044% active chlorine released from hypochlorous acid - CAS 7790-92-3; CE 232-232-5

Other ingredients: pure deionized water and pure sodium chloride (0.015-0.022%)

WARNING:

Measures for protection during handling and use:

• Use following the indications provided on the product label;
• Unused product should be stored in the original, tightly closed packaging;
• Avoid contact with incompatible materials, sunlight;

Inhalation: Not a route of exposure.

Eye contact: Under normal conditions, the product has no harmful effects on the eyes.

Skin contact: The product is not irritating to the skin.

Ingestion: In large quantities, it can cause irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa.

FIRST AID MEASURES

In case of inhalation: The product has no harmful effects on the respiratory system.

In case of eye contact: In case of irritation, rinse eyes with plenty of water. Seek medical assistance if irritation persists.

In case of skin contact: The product has no harmful/irritating effects on the skin.

In case of ingestion: Can cause irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa. Rinse mouth with water and drink 1 or 2 glasses of water.
