This new Beebox hive bottom has been in production since 2018. Apart from all the same features that a regular hive bottom gives, this has a number of new features:
- Compactness. The bottom was originally designed for nomadic apiaries. This low and compact bottom takes up less space when transported. In addition, it allows hives to be stacked on top of each other, securely fixing them together.
- Spacer. There is a new opportunity to make layering in the second hive body, separating it from the main family with a spacer bottom with a standard aluminum grill installed in it. The general smell will make the subsequent combination absolutely painless.
- Anti-combat system. The essence of the idea is to clamp the uterus in the lower body. For this, the lower entrance is closed completely. We put a dividing grid on the first body and put a spacer bottom on it. Remove the aluminum grill. On top we put the second building (store). The uterus cannot rise through the lattice into the second body. The bees, on the other hand, pass through the dividing grid and fly through the upper entrance of the new bottom.
